Packing the right stuff is important. But knowing what to pack it in, that's my specialty! Here's how to prep for those hours in the car:
Start with a great big tote. My personal favorite is the Getaway by Stella and Dot in elephant print. It has a zipper on top to make sure everything stays right in place, top handles for when you're toting it around and a cross body for when you need to lug more luggage. It has a zipper pocket on the inside and a slip pocket on the outside. And the whole thing expands for when you just can't walk in those heels any longer.
Next, get yourself a cute cross body that can double as a clutch. You want something big enough to fit sunglasses (in a case!) but not so large that it won't fit easily into the great big tote. Go for a solid color or a pattern that will match all your outfits.
